Carroll Krieff designed the Malibu Pilates Chair that takes the vision that Josef Pilates had to a whole new level. After learning Pilates for herself she started working with her celebrity clients with it. Carroll set a goal to get the Pilates method with its machine exercises, that produced great results, out to everyone not just her clients. Then she started working on a plan for a machine that was small and shaped like a chair. Through this chair one could get the same benefits of the bigger heavier machines usually in the studios or gyms. She soon discovered how popular this chair was in her own studio and soon became popular all over the country.

It is a portable chair like machine that is affordable and allows you to do exercises in your own home. You can workout your whole body using this chair. This allows you to work on getting slim with a combination of cardio moves that are simple to do and its spring resistance that you can adjust. It looks similar to the step stool you may use in your kitchen. The split pedals help you work on your legs and arms together or one at a time. And they are easily adjustable too.

This chair works on your core muscles as the Pilates mat exercises do. Except it also has resistance and aerobic exercises that can be done to rev the metabolism up and up the heart rate, this helps burn more calories. The types of movements help you build your legs, arms, thighs, fanny muscles, and your abs. This makes your core stronger therefore the center of you body is much more stable and healthier. This can even make you less prone to certain injuries. The springs that come with the Malibu Pilates Chair can be adjusted to fit the type of resistance you need.

I would highly recommend this chair! The Malibu Pilates Chair is low cost and portable yet it is built to be strong and durable. It sets up in a just a few minutes, is lightweight, and easy to store when not in use. Since it is also easy to use you will be more likely to stick with using it. Just think you can build up your core and never have to go to the gym again. You can get the same workout in the privacy of your own home. And at the price it is sold it is definitely a good bargain in these hard economic times. So buy one today!

Don’t build your house on sand

You wouldn’t build your house on sand would you? An unstable surface that is unable to support any structure built upon it.Then why do some people insist on training their body hard when their foundation is weak?

Typically overweight and unfit people have:

    * Little to no core strength
* Poor structural stability (Shoulder, Hip and Ankle)
* Poor posture
* Lack of flexibility
* Probably an unbalanced diet

Even 10 minutes on the treadmill is going to be to much for them to do safely so what chance do they have with the vast majority of exercise programs available?

The likelihood is they will injure themselves very early on in their training. If they are injured they can’t train effectively and so can’t get the results the desire.

Any training program you use must address this issue and ensure a firm foundation is built before high volume / impact exercises are introduced.

One piece of equipment which would be suitable for the average at home exerciser would be the Malibu Pilates Chair. It can give you a great Cadio and strength training workout in one easy to use piece of equipment. The Pilates chair is als easy to use and safe.

So how, practically, can you build a firm foundation?

    * Control your diet by not dieting! Most health experts will agree that when it comes to weight loss, what you eat has the biggest influence on how much weight you lose. You need to eat small-ish portions of nourishing food regularly and ditch the junk. The closer you come to your ideal weight, the safer you are and the harder you can exercise.
* Strengthen core and structural stability, improve posture and flexibility by doing a specialised program designed to do just that, or easier still take Pilates classes. Pilates addresses all the above-mentioned points and then some!
* Ensure any exercise program you undertake whilst you are building your “firm foundation” has been designed to be both safe and effective and takes into account your own limitations.
* You should be able to sustain your exercise program over the long term (for ever!) It should therefore be designed with real people with real jobs and families in mind. We can’t all find 4-6 hours a week to exercise!

As you can see it’s not rocket science, but mainly just common sense. Build a firm foundation, and what you build should last forever.

Remember safety is the most important factor so why not take a look at the Malibu Pilates Chair. It ticks all the right boxes and will give you a great SAFE workout.
